The facility sees
SubmittedThe facility describes what it saw, adds photos and says whether the generator is still running. The report is logged with a reference number.
Gencare connects the facility that reports the fault, the operations team that assigns it and the technician who repairs it, on one live record. Nobody has to chase anybody.
Pick a stage. See what the facility sees, what operations sees and what the technician does at that moment.

A new issue lands in the Unassigned queue with the site, generator and issue type already filled in.
Nothing yet. The job is not on anyone’s phone until it is assigned.
For facilities
A facility team reports a fault in a minute: what they noticed, a photo, and whether the generator is still running. Then they follow every stage until they confirm the fix themselves.
For operations
Supervisors see unassigned, assigned, in-progress, escalated and awaiting-confirmation issues across all locations, and act from the same screen.
For technicians
Accept the job, navigate to site, check in at the generator, work through the steps and check out. The location check stops work being logged from the wrong place.
Facility coordinates come from a Ghana Post GPS digital address or are entered by hand, so navigation and the check-in radius use the right place.
Check-in and start-work are blocked unless the phone is within the radius of the generator.
Completing a job is saved on the phone and sent when it reconnects. Decisions such as accept or escalate go to the server first, so everyone sees the same thing.
Facilities attach evidence when they report. Technicians add photos from the camera or gallery as they work.
Technicians ask and supervisors answer. The technician’s reasons stay internal; the facility only learns that cover is being arranged.
The picker lists region matches first, then availability, then current workload.
An issue closes only when the facility confirms the fix. If the problem is still there, it goes back.
Roles and permissions control who can do what on the operations console, and activity is recorded in an audit trail.
The field app is built for Android.
No. Working through a job, taking photos and writing repair notes happen on the phone. Accepting, starting, holding, escalating, reassigning and syncing the final report need a connection, because the server confirms them first. Completing a job is the exception: it can be done offline and is sent when the signal comes back.
No. The facility is told that the maintenance team is arranging another technician. The technician’s own reasons stay with operations.
Each facility sees only its own issues, generators and photos. On the operations side, roles and permissions control access, and an audit trail records activity.
Tell us how many generators and locations you run, and we will walk you through the facility portal, the operations console and the field app.
